What a weekend riders and spectators alike had at the third stop of the Liquid Force Summer Series at GoWake Cable Park in Bli Bli.

Riders from across Australia travelled to the Sunny Coast for a scorching weekend that was filled with sun-kissed skin and serious wakeboarding.

There was more to do at GoWake Bli Bli then just watch the wakeboarding. Daniel Pyne’s Gimmie Pop ran coaching sessions the mornings before the events and the Aqua fun park lured young and old in. Riders and learners enjoyed sessions on the Go Ride – which is an absolute winner with learners, riders and visitors alike.

Channel nine popped in to film sections for the sports report on Friday and Sunday and there was an epic helicopter photo shoot on Sunday morning.

Keen to get into the first comp – the Double Up 2.GO- riders had a chance to test out the Go Ride pre competition, thanks to Go Ride owner Steve Dipple. Not only does Steve build the Go Rides, he is known to be a bit of a super coach on them too. So riders were keen to put in a few laps under his watch.

The Under 17 girls kicked off the show with Sam Golledge and Holly Watt both stomping newly learnt raileys in their runs. With Sam being only 14 and Holly 12, you want to look out for these girls in future world comps. Ash Blake also put in a great run, travelling all the way from Penny. Mitch Langfield put on an awesome show in the pro men rail jam to take out the top spot. Aaron Gunn came in second and Scotty Wilkings third.
