Breathe Boardwear - Rubix Crash Vest

Breathe Boardwear was founded in mid 2011 by Cianne Naji, a former competitive wakeboarder. Her vision was to create a girl’s wakeboarding brand based on a philosophy of fluid, free movement out on the water, with items specifically designed and cut for female riders coupled with her love of bold coloring and edgy graphic design.

Cianne started wakeboarding at age 7 and it quickly became her passion. At 16 she moved to Orlando and spent 2 years training at the Hansen World Wakeboard Center. She had just started riding her first few stops on tour when illness forced her to quit riding. Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at age 2, the progression of her disease meant that she was no longer able to compete, or even just ride for fun. Starting Breathe Boardwear served as a way of staying connected with a sport and community that she loved.

Sadly, Cianne passed away in January 2013, just weeks before the launch of Breathe Boardwear’s Spring/Summer 2013 range, the company’s first full lines. Those of us who had the privilege of working side by side with her over the last 2 years are determined to fulfill her vision for Breathe Boardwear and women’s wakeboarding around the world by delivering you a range of apparel, accessories and equipment that Cianne would be proud to put her name to.

We are also proud to support Cystic Fibrosis charities worldwide, to which we have been donating 5% of all sales since our founding.
