Being that Need for Speed Rivals was the first game to enter my PlayStation 4, I expected the game to be nothing short of amazing. Thankfully after about 30 minutes of gameplay, Need for Speed Rivals lived up to all my expectations and more. With a graphics package unlike anything I’ve ever seen, to a car customization only the NSF franchise can touch, the new Need for Speed Rivals blew past the competitions at 200+ mph.

Graphically the title is stunning. Leaves blow by as you race through the streets, lightning strikes as rain blurs your vision of the road, and the sun sets over the ocean with the yellowest of yellow tint as the last bit of light glimmers on the hood of your car. It’s all a true work of art. And don’t for get the spectacular attention to detail on each car driven and raced. No seem, corner, or line is left untouched.

The best part about the new Need for Speed is the ability to change it up. As we all know there’s nothing worse than playing a racing title and doing only that…racing. Well the new NFS solved all of our problems by adding a racer section meant to run from the cops and a cop section meant to chase down the racers. With Pursuit and Evasion Tech built to disable the car you’re battling, NFS Rivals is like nothing you’ve raced before.

In the end all I have to say is BRAVO EA! BRAVO!
