Punk rock has been enjoyed by millions of fans throughout the years and for most of us from the U.S., the punk we listen to comes from our home country. Sure there’s the occasional English band like the Sex Pistols but the USA really produces its fair share of good punk music. Fortunately, the international punk scene is on the rise. Case in point: Osaka, Japan’s ska-punk band Hey Smith. The high-energy five-some exploded in the States with their Japanese success 14-Fourteen. Taking influence from bands like Less Than Jake, the Hey Smith’s are sure to be a lasting hit among fist-swinging boot-stompers in the good ol’ U.S. of A.
