What do you get when you take Jeff McKee (pro wakeboarder, Dustpan funny man), Alberto Hernandez (vocal extraordinaire, dental management professional), Chris Heavener (founder and editor of Annalemma Magazine, artist phenom), and Josh McWilliams (Alliance Visual Experiences Producer and mastermind behind the wake industry’s greatest films such as Rewritten and the Parks Bonifay Documentary), and put them in the same room? Nothing. But put a few musical instruments and a microphone in the room with them and you have the melodic magic currently known as Young Brother. This group of indie scenesters from Winter Park, FL can really jam. Don’t believe me? Check out the mind-tripping lyrics of “Psychoanalyzer,” the hip-shaking sounds of “Bonfires,” and the body-jolting ender “The Mayor” off the band’s first EP.
