This year Hannam’s Wake Hub is resurrecting the spirit of Harbour Reach and ThinkTank, with a series of 2-day long wakeskate jams held every other month at their park in Cambridge, England.

Comprised of Jet Ski, System 2.0 cable riding, and a specifically built split level pool-to-pool gap towed by a winch, this is a true wakeskaters paradise. Last week the best of the UK’s riders and some european guests convened at Hannams Wake Hub for the first of three event weekends this year, and when the Ben & Terry Hannam opened the gates to the pool gap the riders couldn’t get their wetsuits on fast enough.

The relaxed freeride format for the weekend encouraged progression and attempting new tricks rather than just doing what is safe in order to win a contest. The stand out riders were Si Powell in a close 4th, Pierre Atruz placing 3rd, Ollie Moore in 2nd and Aesthetic Wakeskates own James Harrington taking the win after all the riders voted for their standout wakeskater of the weekend.
Will Bradley threw down hammers all weekend, walking away with some cash for the Best Trick of the weekend, a frontside 270 shuv to backside boardslide on the pool gap hubba ledge.

There next stop of the Three Stage Jam series takes place on July 20-21 so make sure you get along to ride yourself or just enjoy a great weekend of wakeskating and social activities!
