Maven Marine – The Expert Boating & Watersports Store Launches

This week see’s the launch of Maven Marine, a boating and watersports store with a difference! Run by industry experts who donate all net-retained profit to charities that help to keep our beaches clean and protect our oceans

The concept was born out of frustration with the “Take everything, give nothing back” approach that so many other stores appear to go by. Maven is different. They share the passion of their customers for time spent on the water, but gladly give karma a nod by sinking any money left over in to charities such as the renowned Marine Conservation Society.

The Marine Conservation Society issued the following statement:

“The Marine Conservation Society (MCS) is pleased to be receiving support from Maven Marine. MCS is the national UK charity dedicated to protecting the marine environment and its wildlife. MCS wants to see better protection for marine wildlife, sustainable fisheries, and clean seas and beaches and the support of organisations like Maven Marine is vital in helping us achieve our vision of seas fit for life. For more information, visit MCS’ website

Mike Dovey, Managing Director of the new project says: “Like many others, I live for time spent on the water with friends and family. My greatest memories are of the ocean and British beaches. I’ve been in the leisure marine industry for a long time now and the desire to put something tangible back has been growing in me for years. This is not just my opportunity, but one for all. We can continue to boat and ski, but know that purchases through Maven Marine will help to fund better protection of marine wildlife, help to keep beaches clean and care for our oceans. It’s a win-win situation for all involved.”

The store stocks a wide range of product that includes: wakeboards, waterskis, boat service items, wakeboard towers, marine audio/electronics and more. They also offer a nationwide fitting service for boat equipment along with a demo service on all watersports gear.
