Latest Additions to the line-up announced for Wakestock 2011 including THE CRIBS, KELIS, THE JOY FORMIDABLE, NEON TREES, NOISETTES, PULLED APART BY HORSES and INNERPARTYSYSTEM joining BIFFY CLYRO, THE WOMBATS, ELLIE GOULDING, CHASE & STATUS, EXAMPLE and many more at this year’s festival plus Single Day Tickets on sale Wednesday 4th May and the RAF are set to return to Wakestock with amazing aerial displays.

With just over two months to go until Wakestock we are stoked to announce Yorkshire rockers THE CRIBS have been added to the line up as BIFFY CLYRO’s special guests. Q magazine described the band as “The biggest cult band in the UK” and with singles like “Hey Scenesters”, “Men’s Needs” and “Our Bovine Public” they are known for their passionate performances. The guys are only playing a handful of festivals in 2011 and Wakestock is one of them!

International superstar and Grammy nominated rapper and singer KELIS will also be travelling to Wakestock this year. Best known for smash hits including “Milkshake” and “I Hate You So Much Right Now” amongst many others, this lady knows how to party and plays a wicked live set. We look forward to welcoming her to the Wakestock stage.

The fantastic NOISETTES will be returning to the Wakestock stage in 2011. Singer Shingai Shoniwa’s versatile vocals have seen her compared to everyone from Deborah Harry and Kate Bush to Billie Holiday and Diana Ross. Their singles “Don’t Upset the Rhythm” and “Never Forget You” formed part of their banging set and with new material and a new album out this summer we are looking forward to welcoming them back.

Leeds rockers PULLED APART BY HORSES released their debut self-titled album in June last year. Influenced by Rage Against the Machine and Nirvana, with a touch of James Brown these guys will be bringing their choppy, twitchy guitars, yelped vocals and crushing noise chaos to the Wakestock line up.

North Wales trio and NME favourites THE JOY FORMIDABLE will be travelling back to their homeland for what is sure to be a blistering live performance. These guys are known for making every second count on stage and with great singles like “Austere” and “Cradle” in their repertoire, they will go off in front of the home crowds.

Also joining the bill are American rockers NEON TREES who released their first full length album, Habits, in 2010. Their first single “Animal” climbed to number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and number 1 on the Alternative Rock Chart. These Utah saints make rousing, anthemic synth-rock and their debut single epitomised their catchy, 80s influenced sound.

WOLF GANG is Max MeElligot, a 22 year old from London who’s debut single “Pieces of You” has been receiving rave reviews this guy will be a hit on the stage this year. He will be joined by LA girl DEV, you will know her from Far East Movement’s “Like a G6” which sampled her single “Booty Bounce”. With hyper-speed cuts and countless costume changes you can barely keep your eyes on her! TEK ONE is a brand spanking new dj and live dubstep act, encompassing elements of electro and hard D&B. Their live show consists of an acoustic kit, beats, bass and synths played live, and the band play a mixture of their own tracks, as well as their own versions of dubstep, dancefloor anthems. The duo from Croydon are sure to get the party started!

INNERPARTYSYSTEM will make the trip from Philladelphia in US to bring their hip-shaking rhythms, wiry synths, crunching guitars, and insistent hooks to Wakestock. The trio released a 6 song EP “Never Be Content” earlier this year and we look forward to hearing their new material this summer.

These new acts join the already announced bill of BIFFY CLYRO, THE WOMBATS, ELLIE GOULDING, CHASE & STATUS, EXAMPLE, ZANE LOWE, KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES, CHIDDY BANG, WRETCH 32, KISSY SELL OUT & MC COBRA, NERO, ED SHEERAN, HERVE, CASPA & MC ROD AZLAN, FAR EAST MOVEMENT, TODDLA T, JAGUAR SKILLS, LITTLE COMETS, DJ FRESH, DANNY BYRD, MODESTEP, TOTALLY ENOURMOUS EXTINCT DINOSAURS, REDLIGHT AND YASMIN amongst others.
