Gina Duffy, Founder, Sheshreds.co – Eden, UT

At SheShreds.co, we love what we do.  On a daily basis, we’re driven by our global sisterhood of athletes – girls and women who are either serious competitors or just seriously stoked about trying something new. Either way, we strive for one thing: to help you unleash your fearless soul. Anytime, any day. All over the world, our female athletes and ambassadors ignite each other’s fearless side in bold and unique ways. They train together, they push past their limits together. they progress together. And if one takes a fall, ten more are standing right nearby ready to scoop her up. And that’s what our story is about. It’s less about getting the latest board shorts and more about pushing yourself to the next challenge. It’s less about competing with people and more about connecting with people. It’s less about rebelling and more about riding with a crew that has your back – and you having theirs. Our brand believes in everyday girls doing extraordinary things together. Their unparalleled passion for action-adventure lifestyle is what fuels our business. It’s why we focus so many of our resources on dressing, training, and supporting girls and women in their chosen sport. and quite honestly, there’s no place we’d rather be than by your side on your path to being fearless, and owning it.

Cate Siniscalchi, UTAH- I grew up with all brothers and rode with all boys; I constantly got told girls weren’t meant for action sports and no matter how hard I worked I would never be able to make a living off of it because I am a girl. For me Sheshreds gives me so much hope because I know I have a whole family of girls who have heard the same things that I have and yet continue to push the limits of wakeboarding and push the limits for women. Sheshreds shows me that I can do anything a boy can do and encourages me to get the girls around me to try action sports and not be afraid of the stereotypes that women have. Sheshreds has given me the strength, encouragement, and support to prove that I can do anything a boy can do, and if I’m willing to work hard I can make a lifestyle with the sport I love. I am beyond grateful for tony and Gina for changing my life and helping me every day push the limits for the sport I love. Sheshreds is my family of badass shredders who want to change the future for women’s wakeboarding and the future of women in general.

Kim Boersema-The Netherlands – ???? SheShreds changed a lot in my life. Especially for some things that I never wouldn’t do before and now I can just shred and ride, because I love it and I have always the support of all these amazing shred sisters!! Made many SheShreds.co friends on social media. The community together about wakeboarding is so awesome!! Even that I lost so many friends because they weren’t support me in my sports and travel life or don’t share the same interests. But since I’m part of this amazing crew, I discovered that it’s my choice to do what I love and that the good friends will come when the time is right.. And I have that here! This crew give me the support that I need to show that I can do more than I ever thought!! And I love to talk with other girls about all these crazy and amazing sports and what you can do for tricks, tips and advice about boards. Every time I learn something new from the other girls because we share this with each other. GIRL IS NOT JUST A FOUR LETTER WORD!!

Chelsea Oliver -Texas- I’ve always grown up on the lake and saw people wakeboarding all the time but I never thought it was a girls sport. Then one day I found SheShreds.co and saw several girls doing the very sport I desired to do! Instantly, I decided then and there if these girls on SheShreds.co could do it and were so adamant about encouraging other girls to crash stereotypes in sports, then I was going to do it too no matter what. Fast forward a few years and now not only am I growing my skill in the sport of wakeboarding but I’m now a proud ambassador of SheShreds.co and get to be a part of such a great family of girls who shred! SheShreds taught me to reach for what I wanted and go after it no matter the stipulations put on the sport. This program has taught me that I’m not alone in making my place in the sports world. And most importantly sheshreds has taught me to not only strive for the bigger and better but to encourage others while doing so!

Sarah Pannecoucke– Belgium– What I love about she shreds is that we are like one big family and whenever I feel like I can’t do something I check our crew page and I see posts from other girls and it gives me motivation, and even new ideas, I am actually really scared most of the time, funny I always chose sports that give me a kick and a nervous breakdown are the same time???? and when something is wrong with me or like a trick just won’t work I know I can count on the others to give me tips or help me out. Where I live I don’t really feel like I connect to the other girls ( in school for example) and it’s nice to see sheshreds pop up on my screen and feel like i am part of something. A lot of the other sheshreds ambassadors really inspire me to become a better version of me, but besides just the community, sheshreds clothes really rock and I am proud to be representing such an amazing brand

Ashley LaBounty-New Hampshire- I have always struggled to find people to wakeboard with, and needed others to help teach and motivate me to improve my riding skills. I became a part of SheShreds this summer right before I went to the Wootown Wakefest, and I noticed immediately the kind of family I had when a bunch of strangers I never met were waving and coming up and talking to me because they noticed I had on a SheShreds hat. These strangers were my fellow SheShreds.co riders and family members, and we immediately became friends because we all shared the same passion for wakeboarding and other boardsports. This company and team of girls has helped me gain so many wakeboard friends in one summer than in my whole 22 years of life. These girls not only were people to ride with but also inspired me to get out there more and learn new tricks. I love the constant support I have with all the sheshreds.co girls and families. Just this summer I met girls from Texas, Florida, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Vermont, and New Hampshire that all love wakeboarding, and if it wasn’t for sheshreds.co connecting us all, I would have never met or wakeboarded with these girls!

Aliza Capen-Texas- I  joined sheshreds in the fall of 2014 right after competing in points chase nationals 2014! I joined because at nationals I saw so many girls repping sheshreds and were just so positive to everyone. Since joining I feel more confident in my riding because I have other sheshreds sisters that are in the same spot as me and understand what I go through in wakeboarding. If I had never joined sheshreds or met and ambassadors who knows where I would be in wakeboarding. Sheshreds has helped me form friendships that will last a lifetime! Sheshreds has helped me build confidence and enjoy wakeboarding more than ever before!!

Colleen Cain-South Carolina- Sheshreds.co has given me a tremendous amount of confidence in my Wakesurfing! It’s a great feeling to have an amazing support system made up of a group of females with incredible talent! Our crew does a wonderful job when it comes to recognition our female athletes and sharing all of their accomplishments on social media. Another really great thing about the Sheshreds.co is all the great friendships that have formed through meet ups and contests. I am truly thankful for Sheshreds.co because they have given us a voice in a sport that is heavily dominated by males!

Jaydin Somers-Canada What I love about she shreds is that all the girls are so welcoming and I feel like it’s a place where the girls understand how hard it is to do action sports that are considered “boy” sports. Being that I’m still in high school it’s still a big thing to fit in and be an ideal girl, and I mean action sports doesn’t exactly define that ideal girl picture so it’s hard to be accepted. When I first heard about she shreds I never knew how beneficial the company would be into bettering my passion for the sports I do and bettering my self-esteem, I’m really happy to be a part of such a wonderful family and I’m even happier that someone with such great mindset to supporting girls in action sports reached out and made this company!

Marissa Marquardt-Ohio Sheshreds.co is the coolest company to date. The girls that join sheshreds are gaining huge opportunities. The advice from the group is astonishing. You can bring anything to the table and they are always accepting and supportive. As a female athlete I get a lot of crap from the boys. Now that I have joined sheshreds they seem to show more respect. This has helped me enjoy wakeboarding more while progressing.

Alex L Mcwhorter-GA- While I have been around SheShreds.co crew riders for a couple of years I did not understand what becoming a part of the crew would do for me. I have only been a crew member for a short time and have gained so many new friends all over the world. The support and community that comes with this brand is amazing. This will be my first summer with SheShreds and I am so stoked about it. Life on the dock is not the same when it’s filled with shred sisters!

Natalie Michelle-CO-Sheshreds is a company that promotes woman coming together through awesome action sports. Rather than society trying to tear woman apart this company puts you in the path and towards the direction of meeting like-minded women/ girls who share the bond of action sports. They offer programs to further equip the girls with in the ambassador program/ or girls that just want to shred, with experience in the sport and experience with in the industry. Awesome collective of woman coming together and being bad ass!

Unknown

Jordan Wolfe-North Carolina- I love being an ambassador for she Shreds. Such a rad company who inspire and empower girls and women to just go for it. It is so cool to be surrounded by such amazing women. There are ambassadors all over the world and it’s cool to be in a different state and meet up with ambassadors! If I ever need any advice there is always someone to turn too. Love this company and its message tongues and women!!!

Kira Lewis-New Jersey- She shreds has been amazing. I have met girls from all over the country and we instantly have something in common. Being in action sports is so different from traditional team sports. I think it is so important to have this type of community so we can push and support each other.

Unknown

Marisol Carrillo-Mexico- Sheshreds is a great platform for awesome girls all over the world. I’m from Mexico and there is little to no support for girls that want to get into sports dominated by boys so it’s so helpful to have a group of ambassadors that are willing to share their stories, give advice and just be there. I don’t know them in person but I still feel so close to them because we have a huge thing in common, our love for sports.

 Unknown-1

Chandler Yates-AR- SheShreds has introduced me to other wakesurfers and wakeboarders from all over the world who are my age. There isn’t a lot of group interaction locally in Arkansas. Last year was my first year to compete regionally. I love that I’ve made new friends who are so willing to help, and even have a “big sister” to talk to for advice and friendship! I’ve gained a lot of confidence and love that this group of girls share nothing but kindness and motivation! I hope to bring more awareness and activities to my area with SheShreds for girls who love the water like me.

 Unknown

Emily Reid-UK– She shreds have helped me have more confidence in my riding. I being diagnosed with dyslexia I had lost hope with all my academic work. Having my wakeboard and having SheShreds tell me I was good at something made me have confidence again and something I was talented at. The older girls have been helping me push my limits with helpful tips etc. I don’t know how I will ever repay Gina Gina Duffy for coming up with this idea that everyone should shred without limits and that everyone is different!

 Unknown

Morgan Way-Pennsylvania– I am proud to be a SheShreds ambassador. They’ve created an amazing group empowering and uniting women. I moved to Pennsylvania and it had been hard finding like-minded girls, SheShreds has helped me find local female riders. The support and encouragement from this group has helped my confidence and pushed me to try tricks I never thought I would. ????????

Unknown-1

Heidi Vercesi-Italy- I am very proud and happy to be a SheShreds Ambassador. It is a great group of female athletes so rad and it is a wonderful way to know and meet a lot of talented girls, starting from our BIG BOSS Gina Duffy. As I am Italian, I am crazy for fashion and I can say that now I am really crazy for SheShreds clothing ????

Unknown

Natalie Graham-Arizona-  There’s a lot of misconception of what’s going on with Alliance and Rider of the Year – so I “get it!” and I appreciate this opportunity to help. Here’s my quote: “The biggest impact for me with SheShreds is our community. I’ve made many SheShreds friends electronically before meeting them in person and conversations about boards, bindings, trick tips, support and more have already occurred…So, when you get to meet your fellow SheShredder in person that friendship and bond already exists which makes the time you spend shredding together that much more rad!”

 Unknown

Kai Roshto-Arizona- Not every girl falls into the dancer or cheerleader category. I never thought of myself as an athlete until I discovered water sports. Finding girls at my school who share my passion for the water is hard becoming part of the SheShreds family instantly gave me a group of rad girls from all over the world who encourage and support each other. Being a SheShreds Ambassador gives me confidence and brings me joy.

Sophie Geohagan -Alabama- My name is Sophie. I’m six years old & live in South Alabama. I was four the first time I was given a wakeboard and it’s been my best friend for the past two years. I was born with optic nerve hypoplasia and I’m completely blind in my left eye. I love the active lifestyle, but it was hard to play team sports without running into others. ???? I find that it’s okay to laugh when my lack of vision causes something funny to happen, because what else can you do. Last summer, I begged Mom for a hat off the SheShreds website and we learned about the ambassador program. I am so thankful that we did. I found a support team & girls that were defying the odds like me. We are competing in a sport that sometimes make us the only girl and I’ve learned that that’s okay. Girls are rad too, especially when they come together and are kind to each other. I now have an extended family and know that it’s okay that I’m not conforming to be just like every other girl. I prefer my Snapback over a bow any day.
