Scott Elliot – “In 2014, I worked and lived in Shanghai, China. After my job assignment was complete, i decided to take the long way back home to the USA. After stopping in Hong Kong, Malaysia, Australia, and Vietnam. One of my best friends, Mike, decided to come meet me at my next stop, Thailand. He arrived a few days before me, and while staying in a hostel, he met a guy named Dylan Miller. A meeting that changed the direction of my life. I finally arrived in Bangkok and met up with my Mike. After spending one night in Bangkok, we pondered what to do next. Mike mentioned something about a “wake park” that Dylan would be at the same time we were in Bangkok. We had no idea what he meant by “wake park.” I assumed it was a place where a boat would drag you around on one of these so called “wakeboards”. We said, “what the hell. Lets go check it out.”

From the moment I touched down in the USA, i began figuring out how i was going to wakeboard again. It was tough since it was almost new years and none of these cable parks i learned about were open; however, Mike and I went to orlando as often as we could. I moved to Birmingham, Alabama for work and discovered Flipside (A local 2.0). I have been riding as often as i can since and have been to OWC, McCormick’s, Area 52, Terminus, Valdosta, Hexagon, Jibtopia, BSR, Flipside, and Thai Wake Park.

I also stopped drinking in 2014. Wakeboarding has saved my life. It is my new addiction.

I am 27 years young. Born and Raised in Atlanta, GA.”
