1) State your name, age, lake or river?
I’m Trevor Miller, I’m 28 years old and am fortunate to ride in the Pacific North West on Lake Washington and Lake Sammamish. Arguably the birth place of wakesurfing.

2)What’s your perfect set up for wake surfing, boat weight, side, etc?
Last season I rode my 2004 Enzo 230. We slammed that thing pretty hard filling up nearly 3000 lbs. of ballast in that thing. This year and season I am really excited to get my new Supra SC450 to see what we can do with that thing. Ronix is hooking me up with their new 8.3 ballast system so filling this boat full of water should not be a problem at all!

3) How did you get into wakesurfing?
In 2008 I was out on the water and we saw the Inland Surfer crew out on lake Sammamish surfing. I remember thinking that it looked so cool and being blown away that you could ride behind a boat without a rope. Soon after I was able to give it a try. After that it seemed that I would wake board less and less every season. Now I pretty much just surf.

4)Does competitions play a role in your life or are you more of a video guy?
I guess you could say I am a both kind of guy.. I absolutely love to get out and ride with friends and shoot some video. When we are all out there we get to have a great time and really push each other into trying new and crazy things. When I get to go out and compete I get to meet new riders and people that I would not otherwise be a able to see. Competing is just a small aspect of going to competitions. It’s the people that make them so much fun, and its the people that make me want to go to the events.

5) Does music play a role when riding?
I am not a big music guy, I like to listen to it, but, I would not say it has too much of an impact on my riding.

6) What tricks are you working to perfect in 2014?
I am definitely working on the above the lip tricks with shuvs. It seems that if you do not have one under your belt, you just will not be competitive. I have a few other things that I have been trying as well but those will have to be a secret for now.

7)Who is in your group when going out on the water?
I am super lucky to have a huge group of people in the NW that love to surf. If at anytime I am having a tough time getting out I just tap into the North West Wake Surf Association. I have never met someone from that group that is not absolutely stoked on wakesurfing! I do have to give a shout out to Bryce with Day1 Wake. He is my go to boat driver and coach. With out him I do not think I would have seen the progression that I accomplished last year.

8) What are your goals with the sport?
My goals long term for wakesurfing are just to continue being a part of the sport and help it grow. I want to continue volunteering for the CWSA and the NWWSA, as well as help the boat manufactures in the R&D process to make the boats throw the best possible wave. I also want to work more with the younger up and coming riders as a coach. The young riders are the future of the sport and a few of them are going to come out and take the sport to the next level!

9)Do you have other sports that influence your riding? Skate, snow, etc.
Snowboarding and wakeboarding definitely play a role in my wakesurfing. I also love the big exaggerated surf moves that you see from the guys who came from ocean surfing.
.
10) Who would you like to throw a shout out to?
I have to give a huge shout out to all of my sponsors. Without them I would not be were I am today. Day1 Wake has been shaping and tweaking my new pro model board for the last year. Working with me on my riding as coaches. Agenda Surf for making the most amazing traction that I love to use. Lifeform light for extending my training session into the evenings. Seattle Watersports in Kenmore WA for taking care of all of my boat maintenance and helping me get any boat supplies that I might need. Lastly I would like to thank Supra Boats for backing me this season. We just got everything finalized for the 2014 season. Working with them has been really refreshing. Everyone that I have meet at Skiers Choice has been a joy to work with especially their West Coast power house duo Shane an Amy.
