ALLIANCE SUPER AWARDS

2009 Alliance Superlatives

Video of the Year

Every once in a while a new wakeboard video comes along that is so unique, so innovative, and so different from everything else that most people don’t even realize it until well after the fact. Rewritten is proof that you don’t need an insane budget and exotic locations to make a wakeboarding video (the two locations used for Rewritten: Orlando, FL and Lake McClure, CA). But you do need some creativity and commitment from filmers, editors and riders alike. It is more than obvious all these things came together to make the newest team video from Hyperlite. Plus, the idea of making a team video about the team and turning the idea of individual rider sections on its head only further sets Rewritten apart. This is a video that has quality written throughout, from the motion graphics in the intro to the closing credits. Cinematography, editing, music & innovation Rewritten has it all.

Rewritten caused quite a stir when it hit screens, as evidenced by this note from FUEL TV’s Shon Tomlin, Vice President of Programming & Development.

“We’re excited to have the opportunity to feature and broadcast Alliance’s Rewritten on FUEL TV.  In my personal opinion, this film was the outstanding leader of all films released in 2009.  It’s a prime example of your expertise in this space and your team’s innovative approach to film making and most importantly, to making wakeboarding an exciting sport to watch.  Rewritten is a prime example of pushing the level of cinematography, editing, and motion graphic design and execution.”

The 2009 Alliance Superlatives recognize the outstanding athletes and more for the past year. They are chosen by the Alliance staff in collaboration with former Rider of the Year winners. Be sure to check out the new issue of Alliance Wakeboard Magazine for more.
