We can’t stress how much we aren’t trying to toot our own horn here… but BEEP-BEEP! It’s obvious in a different sort of way, isn’t it? This is Parks Bonifay we’re talking about here, kids. Basically the greatest thing to happen to wakeboarding since… wakeboarding, with one of the most insane life stories you could possibly imagine. Hollywood couldn’t write a better script. And to cap off the dramedy (drama/comedy), mixed in with some jaw-dropping feats, that is Parks’ life, the closing section of the PB Doc went where nobody else had gone before. Not only does Parks show why he is still one of the most progressive and influential riders on a wakeboard today with clips from waves in Teahupoo, icebergs in Newfoundland, and unbelievable rail transfers at Radar Lake, but he caps it off by wakeboarding behind a helicopter and then having that very same helicopter hoist him thousands of feet into the air so he can release the rope, double gainer while hurtling towards Earth, and pull a chute to land safely on the ground. Seriously, if that section at the end of that movie didn’t get you out of your seat and screaming, you’re blind.
