Alliance Wake Superlative Awards 2014 – Female Rider of the Year

Courtney Angus

2014 was undoubtedly the year of Courtney Angus in women’s wakeboarding. Already amongst the best in the wake park realm heading into the year, she cemented her place at the top by dominating the WPTC series in the States, putting out a legit web video part, garnering editorial coverage throughout the year, and conducting multiple demos and clinics to pass along her stoke and skill set for riding to future generations of lady shredders. From the WPTC series alone, Courtney’s dominance is evidenced with her 1st, 2nd, 1st finishes at the three stops in the Pro Women’s Features. Her results were almost identical in Pro Women’s Cable, going 1st, 1st, 2nd. Her two podium finishes at the final stop at BSR made her the official Queen of the Cable for the year as she was the overall champ in both divisions of the WPTC. It’s hard to ignore a queen, and it’s hard to argue against Courtney Angus as the 2014 Alliance Female Rider of the Year.

The overall title for Pro Features and Pro Cable at the 2014 Wake Park Triple Crown series went to Courtney. Appropriately, so did the trophy of Not Beer.
