DALLAS – Some of the top regional and pro wakeboarders in the country will be descending on North Texas, February 10th, to participate in the 2nd Annual Boardshorts, Bulls and Bikini’s presented by Malibu Boats. Wakeboarder fans can “meet & greet” the pro’s at the Dallas Winter Boat Show at Market Hall  from 1pm to 2pm on Saturday, then come watch them ride Saturday evening at Gilley’s. This one-of-a-kind event will feature a wakeboard pool-gap rail jam contest in the parking lot followed by bull riding on Gilley’s legendary mechanical bull… and to top it all off…bikini bull riding and live music!

The development of the high-speed, gas-powered winch is one of the most exciting progressions in wakeboarding's young history. It has given riders, who are pulled by winches, the ability to take their sport to the streets with the use of portable pools, separated by rails and sliders.

Already scheduled to ride the rails and the bull are  2006 “King of Wake” Wakeboard Series Champion Tino Santori, his Liquid Force Teamate Danny Hampson, Malibu Pro Team rider Chad Sharpe, two-time WWA World Champion wakeboarder Andrew Adkison and Obrien Pro Team rider Tom Fooshee. They will be joined by top regional riders including Brian Sasser, Richie McKee, Joey  Bradley, Duston Swafford, Bret Little and Andrew Dyrhood. Boardshorts, Bulls and Bikini’s will take place on Saturday, Feb. 10 at the legendary Gilley's honky-tonk. The event starts at 7 p.m. and is open to anyone 18 or older. Gilley’s is located at 1135 South Lamar just south of downtown Dallas. For more information, visit www.texaswakeboardtour.com

In addition to Malibu Boats, the event is backed by Nissan North America,  Liquid Force Wakeboards, Spy Optic, TBKS, Straight Line, CWB Wakeboards and local Malibu Dealer – Water Ski America. Media partners include Alliance Wakeboard Magazine, Wakeboarding Magazine and Fuel TV.
