Centurion Boats Appoints Emmons Marketing Director
Fineline Industries, producer of Centurion Boats has announced that industry veteran Jim Emmons, through his marketing consulting firm, will handle Centurion’s marketing efforts. Emmons will oversee and direct the brand’s marketing that includes advertising, communications, and public relations for both the trade and consumer markets from his office in Lake Mary, Florida. Centurion has produced world-class watersports towboats – including the world’s first dedicated wakesurfing towboat – since 1976. Emmons will remain as the President of the WaterSports Industry Association (WSIA) and will continue to manage the Water Sports Foundations’ (WSF) U.S. coast Guard federal grant.
Most recently, Emmons served as the publisher for WaterSki and WakeBoarding magazines at Bonnier Corp. where he spent 21 years. In 1996, Emmons was appointed to the WSIA Board of Directors and in 2003 he became the association’s president, now serving his third term. In 2011, the WSF was awarded a non-profit grant of more than $637,000 to execute an outreach program designed by Emmons to increase the awareness of boating safety. Since December, the grant’s marketing efforts have reached nearly 10 million boaters. In the early 90’s Emmons was instrumental in establishing the World Wakeboarding Association which remains as the governing body of the sport of wakeboarding.

it isnt the amount of air that trips me out, its the flat lninadgs. must be hard on the knees after a while. i see a lot of wakeboarders wearing knee braces. such a sick sport though. one of my favs at this point.
