1) State your name, where you’re from?
My name is Chris Wolter and I am from Concord, California.
2) Whats your local spot?
I normally ride at the Delta at my secret spot. Its usually always glassy with no other boats. 🙂
3) How old are you & what was your first experience with wakesurfing?
I’m 18, about 5 years ago I was camping at Rollins Lake for a week when on the last day a friend of my Dad’s brought a surfboard on the boat and with a stock wake I was able to let go of the rope and ride the board and from that day on I was amped.
4) What kind of music are you into?
The music I normally listen to is rap/house music but when I ride I like to listen to techno. That gets me pumped up!
5) Did you train before Worlds at lake Las Vegas?
Yeah I trained hard mastering the new tricks which was the focus in setting up a good run.
6) Were you testing multiple boards to find the right board before World Wakesurfing Championships, or were you on an old trusty one?
No I actually rode the board I used at the last worlds in Arizona as I felt really consistent on that board.
7) We hear you are taking your family to Hawaii with your WWSC Winnings? Thats so legit!
Yeah I’m sharing the love. It is the least I could do for all that my Dad has done for me.
8) Any new tricks you are working on?
Yeah I really wanna get the full rotation air reverse. I almost pulled it off in the Josh Mulcoy vs. Chris Wolter video. Its hard cause the wind has to be just right for the board to stick to your feet.
9) Any new Pro Models in the mix with Mendonesia?
This winter I am designing my new board. So Pumped!
10) Where do you plan to surf in Hawaii? Will you wakesurf? or is this purely a cross over training trip?
I’m going to relax and do some sick ocean surfing like usual. Get some malasadas too!
11) Whats your plans for 2014?
Learning more big aerial tricks to push the sport and help as many people as I can along the way!
12) Where would you like to see mens wakesurfing head into the future?
I would like to see Wakesurfing become more like wakeboarding that would be sick!
13) What’s the next big trick you think we will see come out of wakesurfing?
More shuv-it variations and doing more tricks with more grabs.
