(March 13, 2018) – The Nautique Wake Series and WWA Wakeboard World Series (WBWS) kicked off in the way we knew it would at the 2018 Moomba Masters International Invitational presented by Nautique Boats. Riding behind the 4X Wakesurf and 5X Wakeboard Boat of the Year, the Super Air Nautique G23, the world’s best riders stole the show in front of over 400,000 screaming fans along Melbourne, Australia’s Yarra River with unimaginable performances. Proving that this generation of riders is the most committed, talented, and progressive in the history of the sport, every single run we saw during a heavy final under the lights was put down to not only win but make a statement.

When the pressure is on Harley Clifford shows unshaken confidence and the heart of a champion. Up against a gauntlet of highlight-reel performances, Harley maintained his now legendary composure to put down a flawless run for the Pro Men’s win including two double flips and his signature selection of mobe 540’s. Cory Teunissen’s massive T/S 1080 would prove to be his moneymaker, earning him second in the final along with a Rockstar Best Trick Contest win the previous night. Coming in third, Nautique rider Mike Dowdy hit a KGB 540 and double back roll, just edging out Nautique teammate Tony Iacconi, who returned to action looking absolutely amazing after a long layoff due to injury last year. In his first Pro WBWS event, Guenther Oka continues to march along his path to the top of the sport making the final and putting down the rarely seen B/S 900 with style behind the legendary Super Air Nautique G23.

Defending Moomba Masters Champion and Nautique rider Zahra Kell placed second throwing down a whirly, KGB and some of the most stylish spins of the day.
