Houston, TX — One of the nation’s most renowned automotive brands has joined forces with Houston’s newest watersports’ attraction in a partnership celebrating outdoor adventure.

The Jeep brand has signed on as a sponsor of the new Wake Nation Houston cable wakeboarding park near Pearland, south of the Sam Houston Parkway on the 288 Freeway.

As part of the new partnership, Jeep receives naming rights on a massive 66-foot flat bar rail in the 12-acre Wake Nation lake. Plus, Jeep will have several banners in the park, and will display its legendary vehicles on site during special events. The sponsorship also enables the partners to create exciting promotions together in the future.

“This is an exciting situation for us,” says Tony Carroll, Chrysler & Jeep Marketing Manager for the Southwest Business Center. “It brings together two parties that celebrate active outdoor fun and the spirit of adventure.” It also makes Jeep the only automotive brand sponsor at a cable wakeboard park in the USA.

“Partnering with such an iconic brand like Jeep is a perfect fit,” says Peter Kennedy, Wake Nation Houston co-owner. “Jeep has a revered 70-year heritage of free-spiritedness that is emblematic of cable wakeboarders. Jeep and Wake Nation customers share a passion for an active lifestyle and outdoor adventure.”

The only full-sized cable wakeboarding park in the Houston area, Wake Nation Houston opened for preview days May 7 and will have a Grand Opening celebration the weekend of June 4-5. At Wake Nation Houston, riders can wakeboard, water ski and kneeboard around a 12-acre lake without a boat. An overhead cable system tows up to 8 riders around the lake at speeds of 18-20 mph.
