LA Night Jam, a family affair… I mean the whole family.

ZACHARY, LA- On June 6,  The LA Night Jam will be making a return to the Baton Rouge area.  This event can be described as an extreme sports competition meets family festival.  Set under a stadium lit lake, local vendors, musicians, athletes and fans gather for the most unique night out of the summer.  The best waterski jumpers in the world will qualify for their chance to compete in the LA Night Jam finals held under the lights.
There is truly something for everyone this year as we are extending our shorelines to accommodate everyone.  New additions this year include a special children’s section and a dog park.  We have added a variety of food and drink options and have even more vendors.
The children’s section will be full of fun amusements from inflatable bouncers for small children to a climbing rock wall for “kids” of all ages.  The dog park will be located on the south shore of the lake and will have pet industry vendors ranging from adoption opportunities to clothing to organic treats.  The grassy peninsula will be available for your dogs to have a drink and take a dip while enjoying all the action.  Staring in the LA Night Jam will be Ripit, the waterskiing Bull Dog.  Weighing in at 45 pounds at the ripe age of 2, Ripsy will be tearing it up out there in her special made lifejacket on her special ski board.  Paw-tographs will be available for fans.
As far as consumption goes, Sammy’s Grill will be catering, and as always a full bar is available.  We will have a variety of food ranging from Sammy’s Grill to UpperCrust Bistro and their wine bar… Speaking of upper crust, the VIP section has been totally revamped this year.  VIP is front stage, back stage and everything in between.  With free food, free drinks and athlete enclosure access, the VIP section will be set up garden party style, right smack dab in the center of everything!
Boat rides, kayak demos, fire dancer displays, Yolo board demos, and a Rail Jam are sure to keep you tied over and entertained before the main event.  A highly professional display of all water sports disciplines makes up the halftime show between our extreme distance jump finals.  On water exhibitions include the Radar Skis Slalom Head to Head Competition staring Ian Trapp and Trent Finlayson, Eagle Sports Freestyle Barefoot and Barefoot jump, Hyperlite twin-tips wake skis, and many more acts that you’ve never seen done before.
Admission for this incredible festival is just $5 per person or $20 per carload.  Gates open at 5pm.  So load up you kids, dogs, friends, neighbors, co-workers, employees and family and head out to Bennett’s Waterski and Wakeboard School for the most unique night out of the summer.
