2014 MALIBU & AXIS WAKE RESEARCH DEALER MEETING HONORS BEST IN THE BUSINESS

San Diego’s Coronado Bay hosts the superstars of sales in the water sports boat market.

Loudon, TN | December 1, 2014 — The Malibu and Axis annual dealer meeting rose to new levels this year, with more than 300 North American dealers in attendance in San Diego, California, at the Loews Coronado Bay Resort in early November.

The festivities kicked off with the unveiling of the all-new Axis Wake T23. As the curtains dropped with confetti flying, dealers caught the first glimpse of this dream machine rotating on the center stage.

Seminars and breakout sessions filled the following two days, with the Malibu and Axis sales team delivering key presentations to familiarize the dealers with the 2015 lineup, which includes more boats and more new innovations than any other fleet in the towboat segment’s history. One of the breakout sessions included on-water time with the Axis T23, the new Malibu Wakesetter 22 VLX, and several other boats in the new lineup.

The “Malibu Vibe” was running high for Monday night’s ’70s-themed party, and the fun was well documented. PHOTO GALLERY HERE. Prizes were awarded for a dance-off and the best-dressed dealers. Earlier that evening, Malibu and Axis awarded top supplier partners with recognition and accolades for their performance and the superior quality of their work.

Tuesday night’s Dealer Awards Ceremony brought down the house, with Director of Worldwide Sales, Scott Davenport serving up plenty of comic relief. Top honors appear below, or you can CLICK HERE for a full list of the year’s honorees.

Malibu and Axis CEO Jack Springer delivered a compelling speech that evening, with great advice and inspiring stories for everyone in attendance. Springer was deeply thankful and proud of all the help in taking Malibu and Axis to the top, with its overwhelming lead as the number-one towboat manufacturer in North America and the world, but he also emphasized that the team will not be complacent. The future is brighter than ever for Malibu and Axis Boats, and all of the loyal dealers left the meeting inspired as they headed into boat-show season.

“In five short years,” said Springer, “Malibu and Axis has gone from an equal and one of the pack to the dominant player in performance sports boats, by far. This is due to the phenomenal dealers that we have as partners. We know our dealers leave here charged up, but we do also, just from spending time with them and partnering with ideas. I said throughout our IPO that we have the best dealers in the world, and this fact was driven home again during our dealer meeting.”
