Overton’s Launches New Junior Pro Wakeboarding Series
Inaugural Series Event to Occur During Wake Games in Orlando
Orlando, Fla. — World Sports & Marketing is pleased to announce that Overton’s will partner with wakeboarding’s Junior Pro Series to create a new series debuting during the Wake Games at the Orlando Watersports Complex on April 11-14. The Overton’s Junior Pro Series will feature an eight-city schedule that coincides with all stops on the 2012 King of Wake tour and awards cash prizes to the top three event and series team riders.
“We are thrilled to partner with Overton’s to create the new Junior Pro Series,” said Chris Bischoff, competition director at World Sports & Marketing. “The competition field among the junior pros is more stacked than ever, and it’s going to be exciting to see the future of wakeboarding going at it in the Overton’s Junior Pro Series.”
All athletes competing in the Junior Pro Division at King of Wake stops will earn points based on their individual event results that will accumulate throughout the season to determine the Overton’s Junior Pro Series champion. All division riders are eligible and are encouraged to join the Overton’s junior team, which includes a cash incentive program at each event as well as cash prizes for riders’ overall performance throughout the entire season. Cash incentives are awarded exclusively to athletes that register for the Overton’s incentive program, and break down as follows:
