Pro Tour Opens Athlete Practice Sessions

Orlando, Fla. – The MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour, presented by Rockstar Energy Drink is now opening practice sessions to its athletes during the first four events of 2011 season. Tour organizer, World Sports & Marketing, announced today limited time slots will be available for riders to test the event’s tournament course, behind the MasterCraft X-Star, before the judging rounds begin.

“We’ve decided to open up the course to our athletes a day in advance to help them push the sport to the next level,” said Pro Tour Chief Judge Chris Bischoff. “Whether riders are looking to make minor tweaks to their run or practice using the sliders, these sessions are designed to help our athletes become better competitive wakeboarders.”

Practice sessions will be held one day prior to event start dates, with only 20 spaces available. Athletes are encouraged to sign up in advance for their practice session, as available time slots are expected to be filled, quickly, on a first come, first serve basis. Time slots are available from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and again from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Practice sessions are only available to participating Pro Tour riders at cost of $75, which includes a total of two up and back passes on the tournament course, with a maximum of four total falls allowed. Practice sessions will use the event’s official towboat, operated by a professional boat driver. Athletes are limited to one practice session per event.

“These practice sessions are what I consider a rider’s best advantage heading into a contest,” Bischoff added. “You’re on the actual tournament course, riding behind the actual tournament boat; nothing will prepare a rider for a contest better than that.”

Practice sessions are only available for purchase at http://events.bonniercorp.com/user/register?type=practice-run.
