SNAP! 2013 “Motion to Light” explores movement, lighting, hope and features works of more than 25 international photographers many of whom will attend Snap!. “Motion to Light” will immerse photography lovers in a visual and sensory feast featuring some of the most exciting fine art photographers today, including world’s top light painters Vicki DaSilva, Patrick Rochon and Stephen Knapp, renowned photographers Jill Greenberg, Martin Stranka, Jay Mark Johnson, Szymon Brodziak, Christy Lee Rogers, Kerry Skarbakka, and acclaimed humanitarian photographer Lisa Kristine, whose images inspired our special guest 9 year-old activist Vivienne Harr to begin her hugely successful “Make-A-Stand Lemon-aid,” raising $400,000 to free enslaved children.

SNAP! is a 4-day celebration showcasing the work of master photographers, as well as emerging talent. Now in its 4th year, SNAP! will also feature the hugely successful collaborative project with Red Bull Illume, which garnered national/ international press including the Huffington Post, This Is Colossal, Resource Magazine,

Juxtapoz, PetaPixel, among 30 other outlets. The YouTube making of the video of the project has reached over 300,000 views worldwide in just one week. Snap! will be world-premiering this travelling exhibit May 3-5 in our main warehouse space.

Hosted in the Ivanhoe District, SNAP! includes large scale exhibits, projections; receptions and special events; guest speakers lectures; student and community competitions; photography workshops, public art projects, performance art, book signings, youth programs, and cross-over events.

SNAP! Orlando, the premier Southeast international photography festival is the Florida Chapter of Snap! Cultural Events, a 501 (c)3, and a project partner of the prestigious Lucie Foundation, since 2010. SNAP! is supported by the City of Orlando and endorsed by Mayor Buddy Dyer for its major cultural significance.
