Action Sports and Live Music Festival Returns to the Lower Depot

LUBBOCK, TX  (May 5th , 2009) – Some of the top wakeboarders in the state are once again heading West to take part in the 3rd  Annual Jam at the Garden / Wakeboard Rail Jam. It’s the 2nd stop of the 2009 Texas Wakeboard Tour Rail Jam Series and it takes place Saturday, June 20th at the Beer Garden at 2202 Buddy Holly Avenue. In addition to wakeboarding, this action sports block party will feature plenty of live music including this years headliner – Bowling For Soup!

The development of the high-speed, gas-powered winch is one of the most exciting progressions in wakeboarding's young history. It has given riders, who are pulled by a high speed winch, the ability to take their sport to the streets with the use of portable pools, separated by rails and sliders.

The Jam at the Garden will take place in the heart of Lubbock’s entertainment district known locally as “The Lower Depot ”. The event will take place on Buddy Holly Avenue at the Beer Garden. The wakeboard rail jam set-up will include two portable pools filled with over 50,000 gallons of water and separated by two forty foot rails and a big air kicker.

“We are excited to once again be partnering with the crew at the Beer Garden for this event“, said Texas Wakeboard Tour organizer, Bill Geiger. ”This thing just gets bigger and better every year and f last years crowds were any indication, this will be another huge street party!”
