ABOUT THE EVENT:
Where will it take place?  The 6th annual Riptank Open will be held at Buffalo Springs Lake in Lubbock, TX.
When will it take place?  The event is scheduled for Saturday, September 17th 2011 from 9am to 8pm.
Who is participating?  The Riptank Open will feature riders from the Lubbock area as well as top professional and amateurs from across the state of Texas.
What is at stake?  Riders will compete for $5000 in cash and prizes awarded to the top riders.  Spectators and riders alike can purchase raffle tickets for prizes to be given away all day.

What makes the event unique?  The Riptank Open draws a wide range of participants from the hard core competitor to the family recreational.  This will be a great opportunity for Lubbock’s wakeboard community to get together and share their passion for riding.  Top professional riders will continue to deliver their jaw dropping performances and remind people why wakeboarding is the most explosive sport on the water.

The Riptank Open brings the West Texas wakeboard community together for a full day of competition and socializing.  This event draws amateur and professional riders from all parts of Texas and New Mexico.  Riders come to compete for cash and prizes and spectators come to support their family and friends as well as the rare opportunity to see professional riding in person.  The best tournaments are ones that have great riding performances and a festival type atmosphere on shore to keep the crowd entertained.  Vendors play a key role in keeping the crowd excited by providing lots of free gear and product demos.
