A relative newcomer to the wake scene, Anna Nikstad stepped into the spotlight by winning one of the five wildcard spots at the 2017 Yard Sale in April. As the only woman in the contest, she held her own against the best men’s riders in the world. Since then she’s gone on to win the Langenfeld Open and the U.S. National Wake Park Championships and place 2nd at Plastic Playgrounds in the U.K. and at F.I.S.E. in Montpellier, France. Anna lives in Texas, but spends the majority of her time travelling the globe competing, training or filming.

“We’re very stoked to add Anna to our pro team. Anna’s riding is super strong and she’s really pushing her progression. I think it’s great that overall we have more girls representing Sandbox for both summer and winter sports. The girls are bringing design influence to the table and helping us elevate our women’s product.”—Kevin Sansalone – Sandbox Founder

“I heard of Anna over the last couple years but never actually saw her ride until The Yard Sale at Valdosta Wake Compound this spring. Her riding speaks for itself; there are tons of girls killing it these days and she’s definitely one of the top gunners. Stoked to have her on the Sandbox team!”—Dylan Miller – Sandbox Pro Team Rider

“When it comes helmets with a great fit and a trendy look, I choose Sandbox. I’m so happy to be a part of the team.” —Anna Nikstad
