Collegiate Wake Series Orlando

It was the first event where all 5 teams punched their ticket to Long Beach.  And there to celebrate with the Florida schools was the Long Beach State Wake Team.

Ten riders traveled all the way from Southern California to end the year with us once again. They took 4th overall, but it was enough to bump them to 14th nationally and qualify for their home water. It won’t be an easy road to the final 4 though. With the low ranking they must face powerhouse Chico St in the first round.

Both University of Florida and Florida State were competing in their second events of the season trying to better their ranking. They did just that as UF took 2nd for the weekend and bumped all the way to number 1, while Florida State is now ranked 2nd.

Ryan Mocerino for the second weekend straight took top honors and leading UF to a podium spot. He is currently riding better then anyone in the country and is going to continue to score big for the Gators.

Local team University Central Florida ended up 3rd in Orlando but dropped them from their preseason spot to number 8. They will face number 9 Virginia Tech first round in one of the toughest brackets of the tournament.
The top spot landed on a very improved University of South Florida. Their team exited early last year to North Texas in the first round of the Championships and they are looking for revenge.

Lead by Derek Dyer and Dan Olsen the USF Bulls charged their way to the top and landing 4th nationally.  They are in a great spot facing University of Louisiana Monroe in the first round.

The Projects was an amazing place to end a huge season. Pat Panakos and crew really made the weekend a great experience for all the riders with the Sesitec 2.0 running and the beautiful facilities.

Buywake.com, Monster Energy Drink, McCormicks Cable Park, and Indo Board came thru for us with prizes and support! Without them none of this would be possible.
