(Cincinnati OH) – To help celebrate the 2009 USA Wakeboard Cable National Championships at Wake Nation Cincinnati, the popular new cable wake park in Fairfield is presenting an entire week filled with special deals, events and professional clinics surrounding the competition. National Championship Week begins on Monday, July 27.

The best wakeboarders from across the U.S. will be at Wake Nation to compete for a spot on TEAM USA and earn the right to represent the United States at the 2010 IWSF World Cable Championships in Neubrandenburg, Germany. The preliminary rounds of competition is Thursday, July 30 beginning at 8 a.m. The final rounds of competition are Saturday, August 1 beginning at 2 p.m. Admission tickets to both the preliminary and final rounds can be purchased at Wake Nation. Tickets are $10 each and include access to both days' events. Children 5 and under are admitted free.

Wakeboarding is the country's fastest growing water sport, and Wake Nation Cincinnati is the first and only cable wake park in the Tri-State area – in fact, there are only six other cable wakeboarding parks in the entire USA (in Florida, Texas and Kansas.) Wake Nation opened to rave reviews May 3.

What makes the experience at Wake Nation so unique is that participants can wakeboard, water ski, and kneeboard WITHOUT A BOAT! Instead, they are pulled around a 10-acre lake at speeds of 18-20 miles per hour by a circulating cable system that runs 35 feet above the water.

The National Championship Week schedule of activities and events include:
