It is time for the Texas Ski Ranch summer Showdown tournament series to come to a close. After an action packed series of 8 weeks which took place on both the Cable Wake Park and Mastercraft boat lake. Riders of all levels competed all summer long to build up points and try to win their division and a brand new Helium life jacket. There were 82 participants in the cable competition and 67 riders that competed in the boat tournament which is almost 150 riders competing in the series. The crowds grew as the series went on especially to get a chance to see the exhibition of insane riding in the super pro division between two cable world champions Tom Fooshee and Josh Rice. The riders in each division got better and performed better from week to week and a few riders moved up to the next division due to the practice and preparation for each week. The intermediate division came down to only one point and was a battle all the way until the last week. The battle in the pro division was between three local TSR favorites, Josh Wright, Travis Putman and Cody Johnson. Hammer after hammer was thrown to determine the winner, especially on the wildcard trick. Josh Wright came through with an S-Bend to blind, Putman with a switch heelside 720, and Cody went down on a double S-bend to Blind. The scores were tallied and locals, Travis Putman and Josh Wright were crowned as the series champs as they ended in a tie in overall points. A brand new Scriber C11 Longboard went to the summer’s most improved overall rider, Max Bialick.
