After the last few years of having our Freezeride at the Carlsbad Lagoon being in the mid 70’s this year was a welcome change. We actually got our wish, it was Freezing. It was cold and rainy. That however didn’t chill the enthusiasm of the San Diego wakeboard scene. Riders braved the elements and most even trunked it in true Freezeride fashion. For those that decided to ride without a wetsuit Alliance Wakeboard Magazine gave them a year subscription. Once the 30+ riders finished on the water trying out the sweet new 2010 Liquid Force gear, they were treated to a tasty Greasy Greg burger and some delicious hot chocolate. Freezeride is a welcome sight for all, seeing how it is the first of a long list of wakeboard events held on the Carlsbad Lagoon. The next event on the docket will be our Spring Ride which will be held on Saturday April 24th. Liquid Force will be sending out a pro rider to coach and hang out with all those in attendance. For anyone looking for more info on any of our events or services at the Carlsbad Lagoon you can send an email to josh@carlsbadlagoon.com and we will add you to our email list. Also if you are in need of gear for the upcoming epic season, make sure you go see the guys at one of the three Wakesports located in southern California and let them get you dialed in. There number is 858-277-5757.
