FORT WORTH, TX  (September) –  The top pro wakeboarders and wakeskaters in the world will be descending on Fort Worth, September 20th-24th , to participate in the No Fear WWA World Championships – presented by Malibu Boats. The
Pre-party for this prestigious, international event will take place in the historic Fort Worth Stockyards and will feature a select group of the top pro and local riders competing in a wakeboard rail jam in the streets.

Sliding or grinding on rails has been a part of wakeboarding for the past few years but until recently it has all taken place behind a boat or PWC on a lake. Now, instead of watching the riders from the shore, spectators are just a few feet from the action.

The development of the high-speed, gas-powered winch has given riders the ability to take their sport to the streets with the use of portable pools, separated by rails and sliders and pulled by a winch. Called a “pool-gap” or “rail jam”, this is action sports up-close and in-your-face and it’s as exciting for the riders as it is for spectators.

The Stockyard Slam Rail Jam is FREE to the public and will take place on Friday night, September 22nd in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Already scheduled to appear are multiple  X Games gold medalists and 2006 Pro Tour Champion, Danny Harf. He will be joined by top pro and local riders including Aaron Reed, Chad Sharpe, Phillip Soven, Clint Tompkins, Jeff Weatherall, Tino Santori, Andrew Adkison, and Texas pro’s, Gabe Lucas and Tom Fooshee. The event starts at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a meet & greet and after-party at the legendary Billy Bob’s Texas Honky-Tonk.

In addition to local Malibu Boat dealer, Waterski America, the event is supported by Coors Light, the US Air Force, Liquid Force, Spy Optic, Sun & Ski Sports, Lucky Devil Designs, Innov8 Action Sports, US Smokeless Tobacco, No Fear, TBKS and Stockyards Station.
