With a vision to be a dynamic influence in the growth and progression of wake riding, professional wake coaching veterans Chad Lowe and Tim Walters have teamed up to form Golden State Wake in Southern California.  Their systematic approach to coaching will fill a void for west coast riders who are looking to progress their skills and ride bigger wakes but have been forced to travel elsewhere to get professional training.  With partnerships and support from MB Sports and Liquid Force, GSW creates a valuable experience for their customers by offering the latest equipment available and a platform that riders can build upon.  “We are excited that our boat, the MB 21 Tomcat, offers a great wake, incredible craftsmanship and the reliability that every customer deserves” stated Walters.  “It has a very versatile wake with long transitions and a big clean lip for straight up pop.”

THE COACHES – Chad Lowe started coaching wakeboarding in 2001 at the Mission Bay Aquatic Center while attending San Diego State University.  After college, Chad became a coach at The Wakeboard Camp (TWC) in Orlando where he worked and learned alongside veterans Kyle Schmidt, Ben Greenwood, Aaron Reed and Amber Wing.  Chad also spent time coaching at West Coast Camps where he refined his coaching and got back to his California roots.  He’s also hosted wakeboard clinics in Ireland, Greece, Mexico, Canada and Australia not to mention his video instructional features on www.learnwake.com.

Tim Walters, a San Diego native, was raised in a water sports environment and transitioned his passion into a job to become the youngest wakeboard coach at Mission Bay Aquatic in 2004.  Since that time, Tim has been blessed with the opportunities through Mike Schwenne and West Coast Camps to help evolve wakeboard coaching and share his expertise with thousands of riders throughout California.  He knows the importance of creating a valuable experience for the customer and making sure everyone has a great time while improving their riding level.

Golden State Wake is centrally located in Southern California with easy access from San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles and Riverside counties or they can come to you and help get your boat dialed in.  If you are feeling you’ve hit a plateau and your riding isn’t progressing at the level you’d like it to, contact www.goldenstatewake.com and start riding better today.
