Get an exclusive and in depth idea of how others have perceived Rathy throughout his career and how he perceives himself. Rathy, who is often considered the most well-rounded wakeboarder in the world, delves into a variety of topics including his brief career as a wakeskater, whether or not he was ever an “angry” rider, and how he would like to see the sport continue to evolve.
Is there a better way to get the season rolling than getting back in touch with your roots? Yea, we didn’t think so either. Consequently, the third Alliance Old School Contest went down at the end of March at The Boarding School /Projects in Orlando. Who doesn’t like throwing on super sketchy bindings and hucking themselves around on a directional board? Be sure to check this one out, some of the sequences and images that Garrett captured are both timeless and priceless.
Learn a bit about team Tige and Liquid Force wakesurfer, Chase Hazen, in his “Ten Questions” feature interview. Get a sense of what makes Chase tick and what he has been doing to help catalyze the rapid growth of wakesurfing worldwide.
We concluded 14.5 the issue with some comic relief in the form of a behind the scenes look at the making of “Black Dog.” “Black Dog” was a unique web video that featured Nico Von Lerchenfeld, Felix Georgii, Steffen Vollert, Manu Rupp, and Brenton Priestley as wannabe rockstar wakeboarders who rocked leather pants and boozed heavily. Nico, the fictitious band’s lead singer, sat down with us so we could get some insight into the creation of the masterpiece.
