The first stop of the WWA World Wake Park Series is quickly approaching and the world’s best cable wakeboarders are already arriving and ripping up the water at Texas Ski Ranch. On June 5th & 6th over 100 international athletes will be competing in the first of five stops. This year the series will stop at some of the best venues in the world:

Stop #1 USA / Texas Ski Ranch  June 5th-6th
Stop #2 The Netherlands  / Down Under Cableway August 11th-15th
Stop #3  Germany / Pinneburg Cable August 28th-29th
Stop #4 WWA Wake Park World Championships – Turkey / Hip-Notics  September 27th-October 2nd
Stop #5 Ultimate Wake Championship – Philippines / CWC  October 27th-31st

The kick off for the first event is even more important to U.S. riders as it is also the first stop of the U.S. Monster Energy WWA Triple Crown. This event will kick off two great series at Texas Ski Ranch this weekend. If Tom Fooshee (2008 & 09 Series Champion) hopes to continue his reign on top of the tour standings he will have to ride his best. While Tom holds the home court advantage in the first stop, many of the competitors have been training at the world-class facility.

Below are just some of the riders already on site at TSR.
Matty Hassler (Australia): 1260 video http://cablewakeboard.com/articles/post/matty-hasler-ts-1260/

Lior Sofer (Israel): http://www.cablewakeboard.com/bios/profile/lior-sofer/
Dominic Guehrs (Germany):  http://cablewakeboard.com/bios/profile/dominic-guehrs/

Rider like Nick Davies (Great Britain) and Marc Shuster (FL, USA), both were recently in Texas for the 2010 Cablestock, will get a second chance to beat Tom Fooshee at home in New Braunfels, Texas. The field of riders for stop 1 of the WWA World Series could possibly be the most talented group of riders ever assembled for a cable wakeboard competition.
