Orlando, Fla. — Technology, creativity and progression were the dominating themes during day two of the Nautique Wakes Games at the Orlando Watersports Complex. For the second consecutive day, riders excelled in the massive wake produced from Nautique’s new G23 boat leaving the crowd of spectators in awe as rider after rider raised the bar with highly-progressive and creative maneuvers.

Stealing the show was the Junior Pro Men’s division, which provided a slew of high-scoring runs highlighted by high-flying airs and technical rail maneuvers. Top performers from the division included Robby Holihan, Keenan Allan and Mike Dowdy. All three riders scored a very impressive 98.00 and advanced to tomorrow’s semi finals round.

“The Junior pro riders are a tight-knit crew,” said Dowdy. “We train together all offseason and really push each other to take it to the next level. Wake Games is a huge event for everyone and I’m stoked to advance.”

Adding to today’s hype, MTV camera crews were onsite filming Orlando-native Jason Soven make his debut in the Junior Pro Men’s division. Soven, along with his professional wakeboarding brothers Bob and Phillip are being documented by the network for its upcoming series Wake Brothers. Despite a stellar performance in his debut, Jason’s score (88.00) fell short of Dowdy’s 98.00 and he will not be advancing to the next round.
