Every year in the month of May, veteran AWA riders prepare themselves for……
What is Malibu Mayhem? Well, it is Paradise Watersports of Arizona's way of pumping up AWA riders. The guys from Paradise are teaming up with Hyperlite to bring you the second event of the AWA's 2007 Rider Series on May 17th at Tow Cow Cove, Lake Pleasant. At this event, no matter how good, bad, or ugly you ride, Paradise Watersports says, "You are a winner!" They will be providing every competitor with a Malibu Mayhem T-shirt for the eighth straight year!
This year Malibu Mayhem will be even better thanks to Hyperlite's Podium Payback Program. All you have to do to get even more goods at this event is ride a Hyperlite board and finish in the top 3. For more information on this great give back check out Hyperlite's website.
Paradise Watersports of Arizona, the AWA's longest continual sponsor, will be towing this event with a Wakesetter VLX and a Wakesetter 23 LSV. Malibu has won it's 7th straight Boat of the Year Award from PowerBoat Magazine. This year it was the 23' LSV that was granted the honors. The AWA premiered this boat at the Freeze Your Fanny Off Event held in January. If you were too chicken to ride in the dead of winter this is your chance to check out this incredible boat.
The Wakesetter 23 LSV is the big brother to the VLX. "Malibu engineers have found that perfect place among ride, handling and wakeboard performance with its advanced hull design. With enhanced design elements such as the new frameless-vented windshield, aggressive dash shape, gauges and LCD-embedded switch panels, its appeal covers the spectrum of skill levels. Switching from pro level to beginner level is virtually effortless, with the adjustments one can make to the customizable Malibu Launch System (MLS), Precision Pro Speed Control and the available Patented Power Wedge."
The Wakesetter VLX is the official towboat of the most prestigious professional tournaments in the world, including the Wakeboard World Championships, Wakestock of Canada, Wakeboard Collegiate Nationals and the Malibu Wakeboard Championships. While each of the Wakesetters has a unique layout and size, their similarity lies in the fact they make no compromises in quality, performance and value. Malibu's dedication to serving wake enthusiasts is evident in their updates, including the Power Wedge option for customized wakes, the Ballast Monitoring System and bar graph that shows ballast volumes in each tank for true rider customization and more.
