The Maven Session Tour kicks-off this approaching weekend at Liquid Force’s resident waters of the Carlsbad Lagoon in Carlsbad, CA. This Sunday April 15 and Monday April 16th will mark the inaugural event to begin the highly-anticipated second season of the tour. Wakesports Unlimited is the local hosting dealer. Flying in from Orlando for the first Session are some of the most well-known Maven athletes: recent cover-girl, Amber Wing, and leading female wakeskater, Stephanie Wamsley. Local LF veteran Melisa Marquardt will of course be attending the event in her home state of CA. New to the LF Maven team and to the Maven Sessions tour is Shelby Kantar who will get her “Maven Session-ing 101” this weekend from the her new teammates as she learns along with the local attendees what a Maven Session is all about. Amber, Stephanie and Melissa are excited to welcome their new teammate to the duties of the tour and to get this year’s tour off to a terrific start! Over the 2 days there are 72 coveted spots for girls to sign-up and experience the Maven Session. This will be one of the largest tour stops that the tour will host all season. Amber, Shelby, Melissa and Stephanie are excited to debut the 2007 LF Maven product line to the local ladies and spend some quality time together on the water. During the four hour session the clinic attendees will be given board-shape education and taught how to choose the best set-ups for themselves. Then they will pile in the boats and head out on the lagoon as the pro athletes teach them proper body position, progressive approach to the wake and any tricks they’d like to work on this summer. Each Maven Session attendee will walk away with new confidence in choosing wake sports equipment, confidence in their riding abilities and new local contacts of other women and girls to network with and enjoy the sport together. All the Maven riders are excited for the beginning of the tour and hope the local SoCal girls are ready to experience the Maven Sessions!
