Monster Energy-backed wakeboarder Danny Harf is the 2006 Indmar Marine engine MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour champion carries bragging rights into 2007 competition season

CARLSBAD, Calif., (Aug. 1, 2006) – Monster Energy-backed Danny Harf won his first ever Indmar Marine engine MasterCraft Pro Wakeboard Tour championship, this past weekend solidifying the title with a 1st place effort at the series’ final stop in Reno, Nev.

Harf, who hails from Orlando, topped rival Philip Soven by ten points in Sunday’s final (100-90) to take a personal-best third series victory on the year, giving him the title by 49 points over Canada’s Rusty Malinoski (450-401).

“I definitely want to thank Monster Energy for helping out this summer,” said Harf. “I was stoked when they came aboard and proud to represent with them all summer. My goal was to win the overall title this year, accomplished that on Sunday and I’ve already had some calls from Monster Energy’s headquarters congratulating me on the title.”

Harf’s teammate with Monster Energy, Australian Daniel Watkins, made it to the semis before bowing out to Harf. Watkins would wind up on the overall podium for the season, though, finishing 3rd with 351 points.
