Name Dropping at OWC
Some days you head to OWC to snap a quick photo with the one rider you’re meeting up with and don’t see any pro riders at all. Other days it turns into the hotspot for some of the best riders in the world. Yesterday was one of the latter. Watch your toes, ’cause some names are about to drop like bricks. I was at the park with Anthony Hollick to shoot him testing a couple new boards for an upcoming issue of Alliance (yes, you read that right, we are going to be continuing our one-of-a-kind board test throughout other issues of Alliance) when the pro floodgates opened. First Trevor Hansen appeared with two of his tenants: Canadian Christian Primrose (who just the other day landed his first wake-to-wake heel 9 and inverted wake-to-wake heel 9 [mobe 5]) and Illinoisan Dante Digangi). After chatting with Trevor I got a surprise bear hug from Bob Soven, who was back in town from Australia and immediately recognized by a young couple visiting from Minnesota and wanted to chat with him about Wake Brothers. From there it just got crazier as in the parking lot appeared none other than Phil Soven, JD Webb, and Oli Derome. Following that crew Brian Reeder pulled in to take some laps around the park. Then, to top it off, Adam Errington came out to shred.
I snapped a few pics of the guys as they did some laps and had some fun. The best part about a day like this is you get to sit and watch some of the best riders in the world kill it all at the same time in a fun, relaxed environment. Nowhere else would anybody be able to see all these pros ride at once, except for a contest. Needless to say, more and more guys are riding at OWC more and more regularly; both because it’s fun and because of the need to get ready for more and more cable contests taking place around the globe. If you happen to be in Orlando and you want to see some pros ride, chances are pretty high you’ll see something going on at OWC.

I'm from Canada and I've been to owc a handful of times and it seems like every time I go it's always full of pros. Its sweet to ride and hang out with those guys on the dock but it SUCKS when none of them fall and u gotta wait twenty mins to get back out there. Can't wait to get back down to Florida. And mcmormicks is so much fun too.
