For those of you who don’t know what is going on, Empire Wake is looking to change the name of the Collegiate Wake Series National Championships to something different. We wanted to put the name change in the hands of the riders and followers. It falls in line with our belief of “by rider, for rider.”
The names are in and we are ready to set the vote. Thanks for everyone who submitted the names and we will keep them anonymous until the voting is done.
We will have this post up for one week and take the polls. The name release will be next Thursday right here on AllianceWake.com.

if its “by the rider” how are they “handing the name to the riders…”

Get “empire wake” out of the title… the real title should be all about nationals and then say something like “presented by empire wake”

That’s what I said. It should be “The Annual Collegiate Wakeboarding Championships” hosted by Empire Wake

I have to stay away from certain names, and be clear so USA Wakeboard doesn’t try to sue us again. They have a trademark on Collegiate Wakeboard National Championships. Anything close and they have a fit.
