At the end of last year, the seemingly immortal Nick Davies suffered his first major injury as a wakeboarder. For any rider, destroying the ligaments in your knee is a terrible experience that will test your commitment, but when wakeboarding is not only your livelihood, but your entire life, being told you have to take a year off the water is devastating.
Challenges like these are what makes a person, and we are very happy to see how this has changed Nick. He has a new outlook on riding, looking after his body, the sport, the industry and most significantly life in general. We spent a lot of time with Nick over the past month following his recovery progress and things are going really well. He is 100% motivated to come back from this better and stronger than ever before and regain his dominance over the sport in 2012. All we can say is good luck.
