The San Francisco Bay area, home to The Delta and one of the world’s epicenters for water sports, has a new boat dealership focused on the progression of wake sports. Since opening their doors in December, Nor Cal MasterCraft has been remodeling, restocking and gearing up for their Grand Opening event.

Over the weekend (April 20-22, 2007) Nor Cal hosted a rail jam on their lot with supporters like two-time world champion Andrew Adkison, 2006 WWA world series champion Rusty Malinoski, Mike Schwenne, Josh Smith, Justin Fisher, Trevor Mauer and more riding the rail, signing autographs and selling product.

Nor Cal MasterCraft put a lot of work into making sure riders would be able to throw down to the best of their abilities. First off, a Best Western was located no more than 100 feet from Nor Cal MasterCraft. Our luxurious rooms overlooked a 40 foot up rail with a mellow knuckle in Nor Cal MasterCraft's back yard.

Underneath overcast skies, riders gave it their all in a best trick contest on Saturday. Coming out victorious was Trevor Mauer who busted out a huge gap to backside 450. Sunday's Rail Jam brought with it mostly sunny skies, warmer temperatures, and the “Bone Crusher” himself, Rusty Malinoksi. Rusty led the pack with a switch 270 on, backside 90 out, taking home the best trick prize money.

Nor Cal MasterCraft and its supporters did a tremendous job with this event. Rich Silva with H.O Sports/Hyperlite quotes, “Few dealerships have yet to take an event to the limits that Nor Cal MasterCraft did over this past weekend. The entire staff at Nor Cal proved to be quite a team, building one of the best rails and landing pools I’ve seen.” Rich also adds, “Both the industry and customers are very excited about the direction that owner, Chris LaManna, and crew are headed and how far they’ve come in such a short time.”

Nor Cal MasterCraft, formerly Ski World, is an exclusive MasterCraft boat dealership owned by Chris LaManna who has run boat dealerships, including Harrison’s Marine Centers, with his family for over 25 years. A special thanks goes out to Nor Cal Wakeboard Camp, West Coast Camps, Hyperlite, CWB, Liquid Trends, CIE Wakeboarding, Red Bull, DRA, and Neptune Audio for helping make a great event.
