In case you missed it, we had the third ever installment of the classic Alliance Old School contest this spring. The story appears in the June issue of Alliance and you can catch the video highlights here. As always, watching a bunch of top riders take a flashback of now 20+ years and try to ride directional boards with flimsy bindings behind a ski boat is always entertaining. The special twist with this rendition of Old School was that many of the riders invited had never ridden a directional board or were actually younger than the boards they got to ride. In the end it was the two-time reigning Old School champ Shaun Murray who successfully defended his title to claim it for a third time – and possibly bring about a new definition/use for the term man-child.

Here are some of the extra photos from that hilarious day at The Boarding School. Many thanks to Travis Moye and crew for providing the facilities and the sweet, nearly invisible wake of the new MasterCraft ProStar.
