In that order. Phillip gets a new boat, Phillip Lands a new trick. Phil picked up his new 2011 Malibu VLXt,put it in the water and then rode behind it. Before the set started he decided he was gonna finally land a 1080 after starting to try them 8 years ago. The second double up he lands one of the cleanest 1080s I have seen. The boat was no where near being properly weighted either and he had no problem spinning it. Life is pretty good for Phil right now.

The words of Patrick Wieland take my breath away. Phil, a wakeboarding prodigy with a consistent 9 for years has finally made his coup de gras, his 1080. How long has the wakeboarding community been waiting for this? Well not really that long because honestly as every day went by that Bob had a 10 and Phil didn’t, a warm feeling kind of like the feeling we would get seeing Weiland drop his camera in the water, graced the wakeboarding community. But anyhow, congrats Phil, we all knew you had it in you. I bet Parks is drinking a beer for you right now…
