Nike 6.0’s Raging Pull was easily the most progressive weekend of wakeskating I have ever seen. When I arrived in Nahunta on Friday, Ben filled us in on all that had already gone down there and I was blown away. I mean 3 flips, 2nd try heelflip, back tail, are you kidding me. If I had heard that even one of these tricks had been stomped I would have been amazed, but for the pool to just be completely murdered like it was, I couldn’t believe it. But that’s not the craziest part. For all the bangers that went down in those first days of Ben’s pool (and there were a whole lot) none of them were caught on film. I mean not even a camera phone, nothing. Wakeskating experienced some of its most progressive days to date, tricks that have rarely or even never been landed were being stomped left and right. Yet, no one was there to document it. Crazy.

The weekend was great though. The ragin pull event was a huge success, and everyone was stoked. It was amazing environment full of purely riders, and some Nahunta locals of course. People that had never even wakeskated before were trying out the winch and ollieing off the gap by the end of the day. The whole atmosphere was perfect, from the pool set up, to the Horan’s (possibly the nicest family ever) constantly filling our stomachs with food and beer.  I even got to see Matt Manzari land a 3 flip wearing only boxers and work boots. That’s just the kind of weekend it was. There was firework fights (which almost claimed a few lives), skateboarding in Ben’s driveway, and even some heated volleyball matchups.   At night we all huddled around the fire listening to some live music, talking about the day that had past. It was just epic. You had the best riders in the world, hitting a flawless pool gap set up all night long (thanks to Silas renting some lights), what else could you ask for. It was an incredible event that won’t soon be forgotten. Here are some shots that I took, enjoy…
