Ratatat
I haven’t purchased an instrumental CD in along time but after buying this one, I think I’ll have to start buying them more often. This Brooklyn band is no stranger to the instrumental scene with this second self released album Classics. Before they were writing there own tracks, they were busy remixing songs from Hip Hop artists like Beanie Bigel, ODB, Raekwon, Ghostface, Kanye West, and many more. You wouldn’t know that from listening to this CD though. There’s a hint of Hip Hop but nothing that stands out. The beats of Ratatat are unique in everyway, but very easy to listen to and really fun to jam out to no matter where you are. A few of my favorite tracks on the album are “Wildcat”, “Lex”, and “Loud Pipes”.

they are prob one of the sickest bands i have seen live in a while. they also make hip hop remixes, which are pretty sick (notorius b.i.g.: party and bull$***; young buck, t.i., and ludacris: stomp; slim thug, t.i., and bun-b: three kings; kanye west: diamonds). they have remixed bjork's wanderlust…basically, anything they touch is amazing.
