As you all know Body Glove Entertainment is releasing their first official Wakeboard Film titled Slick City scheduled to release late spring of 2010. With a one of a kind line up of athletes including Rusty Malinoski, Harley Clifford, Bob Soven, James Balzer, Jeff McKee (yeah me who’d you think!) and the one and only team Dantar (Daniel Doud / Shelby Kantar), the film is sure to be a jump up off the couch, cream your jeans, oh my gosh we have to wakeboard RIGHT now type of thriller.

Seeking unique scenery, Director Greg Browning (producer of the famous Drive Thru surf series) and team manager Sarah Lalau let us know it was time to pack our bags and head to the land down under. Our teammate Harley Clifford was anxiously awaiting our arrival to lead us on a tour of his home turf. We spent 4 days outside of Brisbane, QLD riding the Slickest water the Somerset Dam had ever seen, and then made our way into the city for some epic sessions on The Brisbane River. If I could only tell you one thing about the riding level on the trip, it was the fact that after two passes none of us could come up with a new trick for Harley to try on his wakeboard. He’s pretty good O.K.?

Australia was good and that’s great, but I’m going to leave it up to my good friend Kevco at WMB to give you all the best details. What I’m really here to tell you about is the fact that Bob, Balzer and I just got home from FIJI. That’s right, we were in FIJI. Thanks to Air Pacific Airlines and Body Glove, we were treated to a  4 day FIJI retreat as a reward for our hard work (yeah right) in Australia. We stayed on a private island, surfed flawless waves, drank blended fruit drinks with umbrella’s in them, and got so sunburned my ears and the backs of my knee’s are peeling. When you’re ear lobes are peeling it’s pretty much the sign that you have just been on the trip of a lifetime. Sorry to keep bringing up the PRIVATE ISLAND WE STAYED ON IN FIJI, but I just wanted you to know that we had a blast and now we think we are better than all the other wakeboarders because we got to go to FIJI. Pam Anderson and Kelly slater stayed on the island at one point, and Cast Away was filmed there as well. O.K. sorry, I’m done bragging now. Check out the photo gallery and stay tuned for more information on the release of Slick City from Body Glove Entertainment.

Many Thanks Go out to The Clifford Family, Michael Arenson from BG Australia, Kevco @WBM, Justin Abott, Air Pacific Airlines, Scotty @ Namotu Island Resort (FIJI), and most of all, Body Glove!

Thanks BG!
