JD Webb

JD Webb has been a big part of the pro scene for a long time and he has consistently been one of the best riders on the planet throughout his storied career. Put it this way: He has more covers of Alliance than any other rider. But sometimes riders can get to a point where they are going through the motions, so to speak, especially after sustained success. That argument might be made for JD a couple years ago, but JD came into 2014 on a mission (for more on that, read his “No Filter” interview here: https://alliancewake.com/wake/no-filter-jd-webb/)

To say that JD’s riding got better in 2014 would be a gross understatement. JD brought a whole new level of creativity, style, and fun to his riding that took much of the industry by both storm and surprise. While JD continued to add and perfect really hard tricks to his repertoire, he also went back to some basics and made them his own. Just look at some of his riding in Al Sur, along with other video projects and compare them to some of JD’s past video parts. The difference isn’t just noticeable, but it’s awesome. Props to JD for making 2014 his year and for showing everybody that there are always ways you can improve your riding and still have fun while doing it.
