ABILENE, TX – November 7, 2006 – Tino Santori, TeamTigé rider for six years running, was named the “King of Wake” at the Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboard Championship in Marathon, Florida Keys. The culmination of the nine wakeboarding events for the season, the Tigé Pro-Am is the final stop for riders to gain enough points for the prestigious title.

With 1,340 points, Santori is now considered the world’s number 1 rider for 2006. A talented, hard working professional rider for the last few years, Santori’s victory did not come as a surprise to many, let alone his biggest fans.

“Tino’s dad, Sandy, and I, could not be prouder of our son. Finishing high school, moving out on his own four years ago to pursue his dream and coming this far is amazing,” Tino’s mother, Sue Santori said. “There have been great joys and devastating losses, but he continued to work hard, ride hard and fight hard. This is such an honor for Tino because it shows his dedication to the sport. He continues to make us proud.”

Tino Santori has been a member of Tigé for over 5 years. He currently resides in Orland and trains behind a 24Vé.
